A very compact Rhododendron the “Golden Torch” is perfect in a mixed border offering a neutral yellow tone to set against more vibrant blues and purples. This plant flowers in May and is consistently reliable. Like most Rhododendrons, ‘Golden Torch’ is happiest when placed in a partially shaded spot, facing any aspect except north, in moist well-drained soil. ‘Golden Torch’ has been awarded the Award of Garden Merit given by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), which helps gardeners make informed choices about plants.
