Clematis ‘Crystal Fountain’ also known as ‘Fairy Blue’ is a gorgeous, free flowering, deciduous climber. It initially blooms from late spring to early summer and then again late summer to early autumn. It produces showstopping, large, violet, double flowers with a pronounced ruff of silver-purple stamens in the centre.

This hardy Clematis is happy placed in either the full sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil. As a more compact variety of clematis ‘Crystal Fountain’ can be grown in a large container and would also look brilliant grown up an obelisk or against a sunny wall.
