Astilbe x arendsii ‘Amerika’ is a decorative perennial admired for its plumes of pink blossoms, that almost look like candyfloss! The lacy, muted green foliage will also fill out a border nicely with its mildly spreading habit.

Aside from having a good resistance to disease, this Astilbe is an adaptive plant tolerating most soil types, and will not be affected by very cold temperatures. However, in times of frost it is best to mulch around the plant to keep the soil moist.
